PART 2

An enormous ship had arrived, blasting the other scrappers’ ships to shreds. Its design struck fear in me, even though I had never seen anything like it before.

There’s been a rumor among us scavengers about some pharmaceutical company which captures homeless people to experiment on. I’m not sure if that’s true, but one thing’s for sure: that ship was definitely something worth fleeing from!

As me and BUG escaped, I began to think about what terrible fate awaited whoever became their captured target! Well guess what? I became that target…

The enormous ship locked onto us, and gave chase to no end. We attempted to lose it by weaving through the thick of the asteroid belt, but it was not deterred. What could it have possibly wanted from me?

Although my spacecraft is old, it still has its advantages!

When I saw this ship on sale, I knew it would be perfect for escaping threats. However, now I was being chased by something far greater than I could have ever predicted.

My heart calmed, strangely enough, but it helped me to focus on that moment. As me and Bug skillfully swerved across each asteroid, the enemy ship was getting farther and farther away. Just as I thought we had finally escaped, a wormhole appeared in front of us!

It was too late to dodge it, and the ship plunged through.

Now, I usually keep this “lucky corner” by my side for good fortune.

Unfortunately, I lost mine somewhere on the ship ages ago, I can’t help but to think that’s the reason why we experienced those terrible things; because I didn’t have my lucky corner with me.

Anyways, we spent a long time in that wormhole. I think it drove us a little insane.

Eventually, we were ejected out into an unknown part of the universe.

My attention was immediately caught by the sight of a strange planet contained inside a plastic-like membrane.

No records of this planet existed, so I must’ve been the first to discover it! I’d definitely become a celebrity if I could bring this news back to civilization.

Our trip through the wormhole seemed to have significantly depleted our ship’s energy, so I turned off the gravity system to enable its energy-saving mode. Besides, floating around relieves me of anxiety.

There it was! Rising up from the ship’s pipes was my favorite trinket. If only it was with me during my toilet problems…

I recalled our escape from that enormous ship, and began to wonder where it may have been now.

I begged the lucky corner to do something useful, because this day just kept getting worse.

I listened to BUG’s report as calmly as possible, even though I wasn’t calm for long.

BUG’s report had sent my fragile nerves trembling. I didn’t even think of eating snacks. This had to be a dream, because if it wasn’t, then it was surely a living nightmare.
