PART 12

I'm getting closer to the signal, but the feeling of unease in my heart is growing stronger. I look up, and the thick vines between the stone towers cover the sky. There's a constant rustling, as if something is moving up there...

KAKA(111).jpg

Could that be the source of my unease?

After a few turns, I finally saw something familiar: a storage pod! It felt like encountering a fellow traveler in the cosmic wanderings...

KAKA(112).jpg

Well... mocked by BUG again... But anyhow, I have hope!

Here I go —— at a not-so-fast speed...

KAKA(113).jpg

Don't ask me why I didn't let the BUG back up the password because data can be stolen, and only my memory is the most reliable~~~

But memories can also go wrong, especially after changing passwords N times...

KAKA(114).jpg

Ah-ha! I remembered! I'm truly amazing!

Darn it! It must be the excitement of recalling the password that made me relax, and in a moment of inattention, I felt a sudden tug on my shoulder!

KAKA(115).jpg

What on earth is this!? A snake with hands? I got goosebumps all over!

Let go of the BUG, whatever you have, bring it on! I shouted as I took off the shoulder guard...

KAKA(116).jpg

Really coming at me, huh? Don't pull my helmet; you can't wear it anyway!

Not just one "weird snakes" ! They're hanging down from the vines above and slyly getting closer to me. You... you guys stay away!

KAKA(117).jpg

Unable to remove the helmet, the "weird snakes" started to snatch the shoulder guard. Instinctively, I grabbed onto the BUG, clenching my teeth and refusing to let go...

Poor BUG, in the struggle, it got torn in half!

KAKA(118).jpg

Losing my balance, I toppled backward, only to find out there was a slope behind me!

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa ahhhhhhhh yikes yikes yikes yikes yikes!!!

KAKA(119).jpg

In the midst of everything spinning, the only thing I could do was protect the BUG in my hands!

When everything settled down, I found myself at the bottom of the slope...

KAKA(120).jpg

In the final moments, the BUG slipped from my hands and fell not far away, while unsettling hissing sounds echoed from the bushes ahead...
