Body Structure

05.jpg

①【Eyes】

With the advantage of height and the open terrain of the plains, JOJO can see thousands of miles, but it is difficult for them to detect nearby threats, so they learned to work as a team.

06.jpg

②【Sound Angle】

Sound Angle is not only JOJO's nose, but a kind of angle on its body. JOJO has no ears, and the sound is received through Sound Angle. Its function is similar to SPINYBACK's Forehead Angle, but the function is more complicated. It can not only collect sound, but also release sound.

07.jpg

③【Neck】

JOJO's long neck allows them to both raise their heads to chew on trees and lower their heads to eat grass. What's interesting is that JOJO's neck is not born so long, but gradually formed in the process of growth.

08.jpg

④【Curled Horn】

Curled Horn is the iconic part of JOJO. In addition to the role of intimidation and self-defense, Curled Horn will continue to secrete a liquid, which is related to the staple food they eat.

09.jpg

⑤【Drum Horn】

The surface of Drum Horn is relatively flat, and it also secretes a substance. These secretions make Drum Horn a canteen for many small creatures.

10.jpg

⑥【Legs】

JOJO has four big long legs, covered with thick mane. The hind limbs are much stronger than the forelimbs, and they can stand up briefly if necessary. JOJO walks steadily, but runs at an average speed.

⑦【Foot】

JOJO's feet have thick pads, which can play a good cushioning effect when moving. JOJO's feet have four toes, which can complete some simple grasping actions.

Life Overview

JOJO is a gregarious creature with a range of activities of up to tens of kilometers. They have almost no natural enemies, all thanks to the "terrible staple food", but there are still creatures like TAIYAKI BEAST that can threaten them. In addition, JOJOs also provide nutrients for another creature, which is really a magical species! The reproduction speed of JOJO is relatively slow. Fortunately, it has a long life span and is a very stable population.

These plants that look like cheap perms are named CURL TREE by me. They are so tall that only JOJO can eat them. However, even if this tree is as tall as MOKAKA, it must not be eaten because the sap of these trees contains a terrible toxin.

14.jpg

The toxin of CURL TREE does not kill you immediately, and the length of time varies depending on the species. It takes about one week for PUPU to die from the poisoning, while MOKAKA only needs three days.

This is also the most terrifying part of this poison. It will gradually affect the bones of creatures and make them twisted. Eventually, even your mother may not recognize you. If you don’t believe it, you can take a look at this "gluttonous" MOKAKA ↓

As the saying goes, one thing drops one thing.

The terrifying toxins of CURL TREE are essential nutrients for JOJO's growth. As long as these toxins can be successfully neutralized, the nutritional value they contain is really amazing, so JOJO can grow so strong just by eating these leaves.

The secret to resist toxins lies in JOJO’s unique digestive system. They have three toxin neutralizers in their throat, chest and back. These neutralizers are connected to the strange horns on JOJO. The filtered toxins will be distributed to these horns and then excreted from the body, so the horns of JOJO are always covered with a layer of secretions.

15.jpg
16.jpg

The reason why three neutralizers are needed is because CURL toxins need to go through multiple filtering procedures, and the toxins assigned to different horns are different, and the horns themselves are also affected by toxins, so the shape and size of the horns will change. This process is irreversible.

17.jpg

It should be noted that Sound Angle does not accumulate toxins. After all, no one wants to live with a poisonous nose. That's too bad.

I call them DOUGH BAT, the secretions on the horns of JOJO are actually the nourishing food for these creatures! The two mouthparts under their bodies will absorb toxins on the surface of the horns. DOUGH BAT usually eats on the Drum Horn first, and then transfers to the Curled Horn to eat according to their own preferences. It is as if the former is a staple food and the latter is a dessert.

But DOUGH BAT does not need to neutralize toxins, because they have no bones at all.

23.jpg

What is the use of those toxins excreted by JOJO? I mean, walking around with such sticky horns, just thinking about my rheumatism is about to happen.

Soon I noticed these little guys who are with JOJO. At first I thought they just regarded JOJO as a large self-propelled rest station, but when I had the opportunity to observe carefully, I found that the real situation was much more interesting.

Collaboration Watch

19.jpg

In the plains, there are few creatures that can threaten JOJO. Even if you can kill them, it is difficult to resist the toxins in their bodies, except TAIYAKI BEAST.

These weird-looking beasts will hunt JOJO when food is scarce. The strange thing is that TAIYAKI BEAST can deal with the toxins in JOJO's body, but cannot overcome the toxins of CURL TREE, otherwise I think JOJO will be happy to share some leaves for them.

18.jpg

TAIYAKI BEAST is not only cruel, but also fast. Although JOJO's vision is several kilometers, it is difficult to take care of the surroundings. Therefore, they learn to watch each other.

Each JOJO entrusts its own life to its companions, and at the same time guards the lives of their companions. Once a member discovers the danger, it will pass the situation to the companions through the special melody of Sound Angle, and the whole group will know it in a while!

【Song of the Plains】

The sound angle of JOJO has an exquisite structure comparable to an instrument.

When JOJO breathes, the air will be released from the wind hole like a melody, which changes with the influence of mood and surrounding environment. Usually their "singing voice" is soothing and soft, which makes people feel comfortable. When danger is found, the voice becomes thick and powerful, like a horn, other creatures in the plain will also use JOJO's singing to alert themselves.

Reproduction & Growth

24.jpg

I'm curious about why there are individual differences between JOJOs. I didn't understand until I saw two JOJOs mating. It's no wonder that the Curled Horn of the female's hind legs is so short. It's so considerate! However, the Drum Horn on the female's back is more plump than the male.

JOJO is monogamous, which makes me respect them. Once the female is conceived, both parties will enter the nurturing mode and will not return to heat until the offspring reaches adulthood.

JOJO’s cubs will be conceived in their mothers for 8 months. The newly born JOJO looks like an ugly fat parrot with its head attached to the tortoise.

At this time, they have not opened their eyes and are taken care of by their parents almost all the time. As a result, the cubs themselves are also very cautious, hardly moving around randomly, and get food from their parents.

However, after more than ten days, their eyes will gradually open, and their temperament will change significantly.

【Early childhood (13 months)】

Picking up leftover leaves from parents to eat? This kind of living condition sounds very insecure, but careful observation will reveal that during this period, adult JOJO seems to be very "careless" when eating, and there will always be a lot of leaves falling on the ground.

It seems that JOJO parents do not want their children to be hungry, but also want to train them to find food on their own. It is really pitiful for parents in the world. If my parents treat me this way, maybe I won't become a tramp...

【Early childhood (10 months)】

JOJO babies from 10-15 months are the most lively and cute. They are curious about everything and like to walk around, but they will not leave their parents' sight. Although JOJO did not have a long neck and couldn't eat the leaves of CURL TREE during this period, they could pick up the leaves that fell on the ground and eat them, and the paws that could be grasped also played a good role.

27.jpg
28.jpg

【Juvenile period (17 months)】

As he grew up, little JOJO became more and more like his parents. Although he was not as cute as before, his body became stronger and his limbs became extraordinarily sturdy. During this period, JOJO moved faster than his parents, which is very helpful for escaping from the hunt of TAIYAKI BEAST.

It takes two years for little JOJO to become an adult, and then he chooses to stay in his own ethnic group or join other ethnic groups.

Conclusion

29.jpg

I have a very good impression of JOJO; this is a calm and gentle species that can sweep away the impetuosity. I mean, after spending a month or two with MOKAKA, I have to spend a weekend with JOJO in order to relieve my tight nerves.

I have wondered why JOJO’s neck can reach the ground, but can’t see the threats around him. In fact, besides drinking water, they almost never put their heads close to the ground... Besides, it’s rare to have such a great vision, plus trustworthy Companion, what else can you worry about? If there is an afterlife, I also want to become a JOJO...
